ART TEACHER & ILLUSTRATOR

Zarifa Dag is an art teacher and illustrator based in Malta. She holds a BA in Digital Art with a major in Graphic Design (2019) and a Master’s degree in Teaching and Learning Art (2021) from the University of Malta.

Her work explores identity and cultural hybridity, informed by her European Maltese and Middle Eastern Syrian heritage. With a strong interest in documenting people and lived experience, her practice spans illustration, short film, and visual storytelling.

Zar currently teaches printmaking and visual recording at the School of Art in Valletta.
